Here you will find practical details to help you prepare for Swedish Workshop in Kiruna,
including accommodation, weather, sustainability and how to dress for the event.
Accommodation during the workshop will be at Scandic Kiruna and Elite Hotel Frost. Both hotels are centrally located in Kiruna’s new city centre, within walking distance of Aurora and City Hall, the venue for the Swedish Workshop.
Accommodation is included between 21-23 April. 20 April is also included if you are on a pre-tour that arrives on the 20 April in Kiruna. Check-in is available from 15:00 on the 21 April, and a luggage room will be at your disposal until then.
Please note that you are personally responsible for any additional costs charged to your room, which must be settled before check-out.
Kiruna is located north of the Arctic Circle, and in late April, winter conditions may still apply. Temperatures can be around freezing, with colder evenings and possible snow. Please check the forecast before travelling and prepare for cold weather.

During the welcome reception, we will visit ICEHOTEL. To enjoy the visit, it is important to dress warmly.
You will be provided with warm boots and an insulated overall on site. During registration, you will be asked to share your shoe size and overall size so the right equipment can be prepared for you.
Under the overalls, please wear warm and comfortable clothing:
a warm base layer close to your body
an extra layer, such as a sweater or fleece
warm wool socks
a hat that covers your ears
gloves or mittens
Temperatures can be very low, especially if you are not used to winter conditions, so dressing properly underneath the overalls is essential.
Swedish Workshop is organised with a strong focus on sustainability. Our ambition is to minimise environmental impact while creating meaningful business opportunities.
Travel and local transport related to the event will be carbon-offset and support a Gold Standard–certified climate project. Materials used during the workshop, such as badges and printed items, are made from recycled or environmentally friendly materials. Food and beverages are selected with consideration for production, transport and local suppliers.
We hope you appreciate our efforts to create a more sustainable event.
Your personal meeting schedule will be available via the event platform closer to the workshop. You will also be able to access your schedule on your smartphone for easy reference during the event.
Please remember to check your personal dashboard regularly for updates and practical messages.
